Why do I need to register again? Can't Ancestry just send this information to you since you’re the new publisher?
Due to European data privacy laws, Ancestry.com was not able to automatically provide Software MacKiev with your Family Tree Maker registration information as they have done for the rest of the world.
Will this affect my Ancestry.com Subscription?
No, whatever subscription you have with Ancestry.com will stay in place, and, importantly, all new editions of Family Tree Maker from Software MacKiev will continue to support your connection to Ancestry.com, so you will continue to receive shaking leaf hints, and use TreeSync® to synchronize your Ancestry.com and FTM trees.
